Browns Barkers, with some help from friends, clean the streets, parking lots of South Euclid

The South Euclid Cleveland Browns backers organization, the Browns Barkers -- with a little help from their friends -- took to the city's streets and parking lots April 23 to do some cleanup work. Browns Barkers President Tony Caroscio said the Barkers received help from members of the Take a Lap Foundation and Notre Dame College football players in cleaning city sidewalks, city-owned lots and, in partnership with the Community Partnership on Aging, the yards of some seniors.

South Euclid's Browns Barkers draw up new plays to help their community

"When I can bring people together, it gives me great pleasure to see other people contribute to the greater good that we're doing," Caroscio said of why he founded the Barkers. A lifelong Browns fan, Caroscio and others found themselves, prior to 2019, at the Black Forest each week enjoying the games. He decided to organize the group, then contact the Browns to make the Barkers an official backers organization. Early on, the Browns Barkers began to hold what have become annual events, such as a tailgate party in the bar's back yard, as well as chili and rib cook-offs. While having fun, the group has managed to raise $30,000, much of which has already gone toward helping various groups of people in need.
